At Eco Crete we use a unique process for both the release agent and highlight (antique) color that allow for maximum control of the final look of the installed product. While traditionally release agent is a powder we use liquid release agent applied to the surface of wet concrete just before stamping.
It serves two vital purposes: it prevents the heavy rubber stamping mats from sticking to and tearing the fresh concrete, and it allows us full control of the antiquing color that highlights the texture details.
