Northeast construction demands concrete that can withstand temperature swings while maintaining its structural and visual appeal. EcoCrete recently completed a project at Vermella Hackensack in North New Jersey, providing high-quality stamped concrete engineered for durability.
The Challenge: Precisely and Site Constraints
Precisely aligning forms for the riverwalk pedestrian bridge decks and parking lot islands, and adjusting layouts for Russo Development’s revised vehicle drop-off parking stalls.

The Solution: Custom Engineering & Execution
We poured and finished durable stamped concrete replicating a 6-inch wood boardwalk design, utilizing Smokey Beige base with a Walnut highlight color to blend with the riverwalk surroundings.
- Sub-Base Preparation: Compacted aggregates to prevent frost heaves and slab movement.
- Reinforcement Design: Steel rebar and fiber meshes configured to resist heavy traffic.
- Technical Specifications: 6″ Wood Boardwalk pattern, Smokey Beige/Sun Buff base color, Walnut highlight color, and reinforced steel rebar grids.
A Lasting Concrete Surface
By tailoring the concrete mix and sub-base compaction, the new surface at Vermella Hackensack is ready to handle severe Northeast winter freeze-thaw cycles with minimal maintenance, proving that premium design and heavy-duty engineering can go hand-in-hand.
